I got timed out while trying to create this. What a pain in the ass.

Anyway, I am an atheist to the bone - with somewhat of a caveat. I think of theism to be a belief in a god or gods that humans have created or imagined. There is obviously a plethora of different gods and types of gods as well as organized religions based on unconfirmed belief in these gods/deities.

Religions are just political entities designed to promote theism and therefore social conformity via peer group pressure and acceptance. There is no such thing as a mystical or transcendent human link to these that is verified or affirmed by faith or religion as they are merely wishful thinking on the part of humans trapped in baboon troop mentality. I am atheist in that sense, as I want to make an extremely strong statement against theism as we know it "generally" and as a backdrop or manifestation of human immaturity. I think of the idea of gods or deitys as goofy and childish - and believe them to be generally slightly closer to juvenile (which is a progressive step above childish) than the concept of the tooth fairy.

Beyond individuals, some of which are clearly light years beyond society, the human race itself is clearly like an infant at best. If there is/was a creator of the universe, it's certainly beyond our conceptual abilities.
