Greetings all,

I've been lurking here for a while now, warming my toes with the heat generated from theist arguments spontaneously combusting and I've finally pulled up a chair so as to be nearer the fire.

To someone such as myself who was blessedly raised without religion, it never ceases to amaze me when the faith heads turn up postulating all kinds of ridiculous nonsense, only to ridicule the equally ridiculous nonsense of other religions, like their religion has the moratorium on grandiose claims or something. Quite amusing.

I guess I'm lucky that in my neck of the woods (australia) religion seems to keep its pesky nose out of most public discourse. Given, our new PM is a theist, but more importantly he is a secularist, and only a few days ago hinted that he would overturn our overseas aid policy which prohibits aid going to agencies that fund abortion (thanks to our former PM who has apparently only just removed his lips from Dubya's behind).

Sympathy and solidarity to those currently residing in the United States of Jesusland but hoping things will improve for you soon!

You're all the same as the British. God was English otherwise we couldn't rely on the King James Bible but would have to refer to some Aramaic document or other, which is clearly ridiculous because the KJV is inerrant. So it makes sense that Adam was English as well. This explains why Jesus is traditionally depicted as a white man. The world consists of Britain and her more or less rebellious colonies. The more rebellious ones, of course, will burn in hell.
