I just heard that gas in Alaska is the national high @ $2.23 a gallon. I paid $1.79 this morning in Minnesota. Why the hell is gas so expensive in a state that has its own oil pipeline?
and why is it always lower here?
(we were paying 37.7 cents a liter just a week ago....)

Because they don't refine it there.

Your car wouldn't know what to do with 106... I think the compression ratio for an MGB is like 4:1. Wait, that's just the front cylinder. The others are probably close to six.
Have you replaced the transmission yet?
(Did you know that MG Jokes head the list of internet car jokes, with over 2.4 million entries returned by google?)
What do you call the shock absorbers inside an MG?
Passengers.
Two guys in an MG were arrested last night in London following a push-by shooting incident.
The new MG has an air bag. When you sense an impending accident, start pumping real fast.
A friend went to a dealer the other day and said, "I'd like a petrol cap for my MG." The dealer replied, "Okay. Sounds like a fair trade."
How can you get an MG to do 60 miles an hour?
Push it over a cliff.
What can I say? I've owned MGs before.

You might be an MG owner if...
... you've ever said "I actually kind of like the smell of mildew".
... you've ever said " Honey, I'll have it fixed in a minute."
... you have more than 20 boxes in your garage labeled "spare parts".
... you have a luggage rack on your boot and actually use it to carry your luggage because the trunk is full of tools and spare parts.
... you get your car started like Fred Flintstone.
... you need more garage space to park dead cars than working ones.
Edit. A few more:
... you get this feeling of impending doom when the car is running really, really well.
... you look at the Victoria British catalog before the Victoria's Secret catalog if they both come the same day.
But the real reason that we still buy MGs:
... after months of deliberating you get in your MG to finally take to the garage to be sold, only to return home in it two hours later after a long drive along country roads
aww that's sweet....
and we also have the moss catalog...

I was born in Mexico, I moved to California in 2004, and I moved to Alaska in 2008.

Because they don't refine it there.
I could have sworn they had refineries too, but at any rate you'd think they'd get SOME sort of tangible break for having the pipeline in place.
Oh, they've got that (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alaska_Permanent_Fund) covered.

Ah, so you're moving to even colder climates next election then? Siberia perhaps?
