View Full Version : Christian Forums — Fundies Say They Wouldn't Vote Me As President

Okay, I have a goal to be elected president in a few decades, because I'm only 16 right now. Anyways, I decided to see if some people were stupid enough to decide not to vote for me solely due to my atheism. Here's the link (http://www.christianforums.com/t1495920-would-you-vote-for-an-atheist-president.html) to the Christian Forums. The thread got huge. Pay close attention to "arumna", "Scholar in Training" and "Pentacostal Boy". Some of the Christians there are intelligent, but these three are not.

Lucretius, you actually got me to visit a Christian site. Mind you, I couldn't take it for long-- it's depressing being among the delusional no matter where they are-- house of worship, asylum, website, Wrigley Field. It was encouraging to see most of the responses in your favor-- i.e., that they would vote for you based on your qualifications, never mind your atheism. I just wish it wasn't an issue, period.

I think there was a poll taken a few years ago, and the majority of people polled said that they wouldn't vote for an ahteist.

Bush Sr. doesn't even consider atheists citizens.

People often equate atheism with Satanism for some reason.

I actually like to go to christian sites. Gives me lots of weapons against thiests and gives me lots of laughs against a boring day.

Lucretius: Please tell me that at 16 years old your are spending a great deal of time chasing girls, drinking beer and getting into trouble, and that hanging out here and at Christian forums takes a backseat the aforementioned. If this is not the case, I will force you to change places with my old ass!

Spurious is dead right L. Your only excuse for spending more than 30 minutes a week on a christian site is that you know a cute christian chick that you want to bang.

Actually I'm 17 I think Mr. Cynic is 17 or so and about a third of the people here are under 21. So, Lucretius just joins the ranks.

I'm almost 17, and if you want to know, I do not drink beer, get into trouble very much, and don't really "chase girls." Not that I'm not attracted to them. Just not very good with the ladies. Tried that last year. Fucked up. Too bad for me, eh?

Men don't work for me, sorry. Though I have Christian friends at school who think gays should go to hell.
I like the ladies, I do like 'em. Just last time I went for one it sapped a year out of my life and ended up being a waste of time. I figured this year, why waste another year?

It’s interesting to hear people’s ages and see the wide verity that is here on this forum. Myself for instance, I’m 29 and I know that there are at least a few other people that are close to that age and probably some that are older.

I don't know voodoo, but I'll take his liver. I guess z3n and I are the representatives for the late 20's, Spurious and Ten the 40's, and D&D, Lucretius, Cynic and Sin-a-Lot the teens. Such diversity. But seriously, give me your young, fresh, liver. Mine is beginning to ache.

Come on guys, voodoo really works, the problem is that you have to BELIEVE that it does or it won't. Tough thing for us atheists to do, isn't it?

You better not be cutting into my action here buddy, I'm switching places with this kid so that I can chase high school girls around without going to jail. The bad news for him is that he has a vasectomy scheduled for next month, ha!

He said he's almost 17, and if you are 17 as well, I figure you are saving a good 5 or 6 months worth of kidney. Although how you manage to need a 16 year old kidney when you are 17, I don't know.
I'm 15, by the way, but all my organs have already been sold (to satan, along with my soul), so no full body transplants for me. I actually got some pretty good cash for them.

I wish I could go back to my high school and college years and keep myself from getting too emotional with girls. I wish I could do it over, and put my studies first. My grandfather even advised me to prioritise as such, and I thought he was just a lame, old person. Relationships through those years should be about experiences. Learn how to talk to a girl. Learn how to kiss a girl. Get an idea as to what kind of sacrifice might be necessary to make different girls happy, but don't sacrifice too much. Always put yourself first, because what you accomplish during those years will change the rest of your life. Make certain your future looks the way you want it too, and when that is all set in motion, then get serious about women.
Someone might say something about "the one that got away" but in my personal experience, I put her first, and sacrificed for her, and she still got away. Then after I graduated, and started a career, something even more amazing came along, and I grabbed it; and I'm never letting go.

Yeah, after last year's little incident, I try to avoid relationships. Working on my studies. By the way, no one wished me happy birthday, which was on Friday, you bastards!

I'm just guessing that I'm older than you are. I've just reached the age, like two minutes ago, where I have the perspective such that I can recognize youth and suddenly feel wise.
You are so, so right about keeping yourself first (as long as you do not lose compassion for others). So, that's good advice... the unfollowable kind.
Here's my two cents from a guy who's been ass raped and destroyed by women my whole life. Never - ever turn away from:
a) the chance to love
b) booty (I'm not joking)
Think about it StillSurviving, if you had somehow followed your own advice and avoided the pain, you woulldn't be you.
Learn and love as many women (and people in general, but I think we all know we're talking about women) as you can.*
Don't worry about rubbers (unless she's a skank or if you can't control your seed). A rubber won't protect you from anything that you have a real chance in hell of catching (during all but the most disturbing types of male-female sex).**
The key to getting her to have anal sex is to just try it and see what happens. If you're able to get some depth on your first try, most women will just go along with it.
But trust me... on the sunscreen.
*For the record, I was just jokin' from the rubbers line on down
** I said I was joking, but this actually true... although not advisable I guess: It's not exactly fair, but women have the real disadvantage when it comes to STD's (and you would too if some dude left his yogurt cup inside your ass). And condoms do little more than prevent pregnancy and help Christians not enjoy sex as much. It's the dirty little secret that no one in public health, in their right minds, would dare talk about, but getting AIDS from a woman during intercourse is very difficult without first taking a power sander to your shaft.

I'm not suggesting this, but if it were a problem, and all you had to do to get elected was to believe in god, you could lie.
And this is an inherent problem with faith. George Bush claims to believe in Jesus. How do we know he actually does? We don't. A proclamation of faith is exactly that - a proclamation. Unless we learn how to read minds, we have no way of knowing whether someone believes what he preaches. (I guess we could subject candidates to polygraph tests. Hey, what a novel idea!)

Well, we could administer the What-Would-Jeebus-Do? Test. Start with Monkey Boy overseeing more executions than any governor in US history, and end with mass murder in Iraq.

Hehe.
I don't remember the exact figures (I have no desire to look them up), but Bush presided over more executions PER WEEK, on average, than my state had conducted since capital punishment was restored.
