I wonder if he would have locked me up for telling him to fuck off? I would have added, and fuck your god, too.

Read this (http://www.wspa.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=WSPA%2FMGArticle%2FSPA_BasicArt icle&c=MGArticle&cid=1031783447826&path=!reports!topstories)

Could you imagine getting pulled over by a volunteer zealot because he didn't agree with your bumper sticker? Read the letter that's linked to the article - very, very disturbing for this atheist.

I think I'll get one of those "Atheist Patriot" bumper stickers or something. I would love to get pulled by some godbothering idiot because I had an atheist sticker.

If you really want to get theist drivers pissed of, i would recomend one of these stickers:

RELIGIONS ARE JUST CULTS WITH MORE FOLLOWERS

True, true, true

The really scary thing is that this guy honestly believes he's doing the right thing.

That is why I consider "beliefs" to be evil.
No verification of facts. No checking for truth and finally the the real reason for the word 'belief'. It is a spin doctored word used by people who absolutely want to avoid dealing with reality (accountability)...the facts.

I believe in a god...I don't have to prove it. God (unprovable fairy tale) is the source of morality and because I "believe" in him, I am moral and those who do not, are not. So if you do not want to burn in hell you will "believe" too.

Every evasive, dishonest tactic is there.

Set up an icon that is beyond your comprehension (a lie)

Say it is the source of morality, good (another lie)

Use a scare tactic to snare those who are a bit reluctant; You will burn for eternity (what a whopper)

Finally to deal with those who will not go along with the program. Create another iconic character. A servant who went against his master and consequently represents the embodiment of evil...the Devil. Those recalcitrant types (the people too smart to fall for the BS) can be dealt with by saying they have been led astray by the devil. This eliminates some of the threat to those who might loose "believers" to rationality. Obviously non believer is misguided and should be treated as such. (the racket protection lie)

Right on LMan :D!
Iask one of our classic, forum known theists to come forward and explain these actions. What poosible justification can these big Cs have for a. breaking the law. b. Insulting other people and their beliefs and c. being a royal pain in the [censored] [censored] [CENSORED]. :O

This somehow makes me feel inadequate. Could you switch that to "Bitches of the Statistically Average Bang" ....:D

Come on DM, you know that thiests don't respond when you ask them to do something, they'll pull some christian tactic to avoid the questions and bring up how stupid evolution is or some such. I've been trying to get lurker to tell us his proof for days now.

What's really scary here is the guy probably carries a gun. I see a lawsuit in this guy's future.

Sure makes it easy to see how all those holy wars and such got started (get started).
Give an irrational man a weapon and a religious attitude and let the trouble begin

I used to carry a microcassette recorder with me in my sports car, since the cops felt like pulling me every week. When I would state that our conversation was being recorded as evidence for trial, they became quite courteous, and often left me with a warning.

In Alabama, it is legal to record a conversation as long as at least one of the parties being recorded consents. I could have legally recorded our conversation without telling him. But after the first one was so polite about it, I would mention it every time, whether or not I had the recorder with mel ;)

The incident that gave me the idea involved a cop that flat lied in court when I contested a ticket for following too closely. I haven't found any laws that prohibit this.
