Sorta life-like... I found her arm/body movements rather jerky and artifical - facial expressions to be more realistic.

You're right, though. The first thing robots like this will probably be applied to will be the sex industry, as creepy as they may or may not be. :/

I wonder what kind of AI this thing has, if goes off straight digital or incorporates some analog sensors. I love robots, and I am ready to bow before our cruel mechanical masters when they enslave the planet in 2034. If you turned the sound up way loud, you could hear a little. Just remember to turn it back down or you'll blow up your speakers, eardrums, or both when you play something at a normal level.

I think the skin texture is fine, but they need to work on the gross motor movements. She was flailing her arms around too much and moving her back too much. if you study people, they tend to get their backs in a set position and only move that when they feel great emotion. Most people have some nervous movement in the hands, too.

I think one problem they'd have getting it adopted in the sex industry is that shipping something that big is pretty hard. And there's already a stigma attached to men that use sex toys(there are some that exist for men!) even though probably a lot of women use vibrators.

Oh, and I thought she was a mannequin until I read further in the post.

Turns out the robot is being developed as a newscaster. From the boring, mechanical expressions I see in newscasters today, that shouldn't be too hard.
