:/ I study Ancient History, and I have noticed many contradictions in christian history. Christians were oppressed and critisised during the Roman Empire and that is exactly what they did to other religions during the middle ages and the colonial times. Christians were also oppossed to slavery during the Roman Empire, largely because many captured christians were made slaves. Yet again in the Colonial Era, they had slaves. These two are just one of many arrogant contradictions.

Yes indeed, the very nature of humans is controversial to say the least. Christians are guilty of being human just as all other groups, and for making wrong decisions. The United States itself is guilty of being led in the wrong direction by christians, as we speak. To say you are christian certainly doesn't make you perfect, not even as a group.

Nor is that claim made by Christians. In fact, quite the opposite.

thomas,
If christians believe they are not perfect, why do they believe their belief system to be?

What I am saying is what christians have done is far from perfection it's the complete opposite, and this is in the face of the fact that they went through the same thing and learnt absolutely nothing from it.

Of course, this is to be expected from people that dwell in a world of fantasy and read only one book! This is the reason atheists are better educated and can do circles around any person infected with religion. The do research and asked questions, they do not buy invisible fabrics that only the "righteous" can see while pretending they can see it!!
Throught history Christianity has observed these "virtues" and taught them, hiding their true meaning while substituting the known definition : Hipocresy, intellectual turpitude, malficense, deceit, propagating falsehoods and ethnic cleansing in the name of their god.....then the greatest perfidious prime directive of them all, the IMPOSITION of these "virtues" on everybody throughtout the world!...:(

In what sense do you think Christians claim their belief system to be perfect ?

Christians suffered persecution and slavery, yet they learned nothing from it and went to do exactly the same things to others. So christianity hasn't improved people in any way.

Well, who knows what they would have done without Christianity ?

People have been doing the same stuff without Christianity. Or are you saying that the Christians doing all the bad things were really the worst people ever and Christianity just made them average?

once again christianity = bullshit.
but i guess the only way to undestand what they did, etc, was , generally at school or something when someone gives you shit, for example, steriotypically, that person is given shit themselfes, by older brothers, or sisters, or parents, and they feel better taking it out on others, its true i feel good occasionly abusing my older sister in a relitivly joking manner, so i guess the faggotish christians thought well,
"they used us as slaves now were powerful and got a few gangsters cracken around the area, lets go steal some slaves, and then bam, biggest slave company in the history of man> "slaves' r' us" hehe
but yeah, in colclusion, all religions especially christianity are fucking gay, and based on multiple false pethetic idea's and morals...

I said, " Christians are the opposite of perfect, they went through slavery, discrimination, and the enforcement of other religions on them yet they have learnt nothing from these experiences. In fact they do and/ or did the exact same thing to others.
