If there was no divine intervention, no heaven or hell, who would christians think was evil?

Its not like satan is humanities adversary, hes Gods adversary. Should curiosity really kill the cat? actually god killed the cat(condemned man) for being curious. God wants conformity just like how the nazi's and USSR were. Not thinking for themselves, there for not being an individual to a great extent.

WHAT IF there was no heaven, no hell. just what if. Would you still follow someone like god who wants you to obey everything he says, with or without him there is alot of unneccesary pain and suffering.
If there were no punishment or reward then I'd say we'd have no reason to do anything god wanted. What would motivate me to do anything except what I wanted to do myself? I might want to do the same thing god wanted me to do, but it would be mere coincidence. Not sure if that answers your question.

There is no god except in your head. There is no Santa, Easter Bunny or Peter Pan; we are it and we will never know where we came from so one lie or religion is as good as any other.

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he was god. If ever the apocalypse came, I think that all the christians would go to hell for being so damn foolish to not see any flaws in a perfect god's plan. Atheists have a better chance of going to heaven because at least we recognize all god's (actually the true devil's) tricks and thus refuse to bow to him.
