1) Evolution and the Big Bang theory are the same thing.
2) A species changes from one to another (ie ancient primate to homo sapien sapien) in one generation.
3) All fossil evidence of now non-exsistant species has been falsified.
4) Evolving means a species get's "better" over all (ie development as opposed to survival based evolution)
5) Evolution is based on what you "need" (ie individual giraff stretching its neck to reach leaves)

What am I forgetting?

Don't forget that Evolution describes the beginning of life on earth.

6) god uses evolution as a tool
7) there's no evidence supporting evolution

I think those are pretty common too. The second more than the first of course.

Here's a great parody site: Intelligent Design Society of Kansas (http://craptaculus.com/eac/ID/index.shtml)

Make sure you read the FAQ:

Are scientists leaving evolution for Intelligent Design?
Yes, by the boatload! Every year dozens of scientists in fields such as computer science, engineering, and pastry science have doubts about the validity of Evolution!. . . . .

Is evolution scientific?
Not the parts that some of us disagree with.

How dogmatic is evolutionary theory?
Very.

What are three important discoveries made by Intelligent Design researchers?
1. Some parts of some organisms are very complex.
2.
3.

Has Intelligent Design theory led to any advancements in genetics, biotechnology, medicine or life sciences in general?
1.

Isn't Intelligent Design just Creationism?
Definitely not. Creationism says that an Intelligent Creator created life. Intelligent Design says that an Intelligent Designer designed life.
And just because most of our proponents are creationists, promote creationism, and most do not understand any part of the theory of evolution or even Intelligent Design does not mean we are promoting Creationism.

Oh, they have some great books to choose from, too:

Darwin's Winky: Exposing Evolution
Ever wonder what Darwin was hiding? Ever wonder if he ever "Sailed The Beagle" or "Examined The Giant Turtle" with other men? Wonder no more.

Author Joseph Druski leaves no stone unturned in his bid to overturn Evolution. From Darwin's "Finches" to Richard Dawkins' underwear, Druski leaves a trail of devastated icons of evolution in his wake in this 402 page exposé on the dirty underbelly of the Theory of Evolution.

Darwin's Winky is truly a scientific masterpiece

From the Intelligent Design Society of Kansas:
(Under FAQ)
I'm confused about Intelligent Design's stance on the theory of evolution, can you summarize it?

* Of course. The evidence gathered by Intelligent Design proponents clearly shows that:
1. Evolution does not happen.
2. Evolution happens in some cases.
3. Some evolution is directed evolution.
4. Natural selection does not work.
5. Natural selection works in many cases, but not all.
6. Microevolution does not happen.
7. Microevolution is evidence of directed evolution.
8. Macroevolution does not happen.
9. Macroevolution is evidence of directed evolution.
10. Life was created 6000 years ago.
11. Life was formed over millions or billions of years through design and the processes of directed evolution.
12. Life was formed over millions or billions of years through design, and the processes of directed and undirected evolution.
Basically, we think something is wrong with the theory of evolution, we're just not sure what.

..yep that's basically what they believe.

The one that I hear the most, and irritates me the most (perhaps it's selective hearing :P ) is:

8. Evolution is a random process.

I have debated this point with a preacher friend. He still maintains that evolution is random. I explained to him that evolution is based, at least partly, on natural selection, which is about the least random process you could think of. Yet he still said that it was random. I finally asked him to define "random," and he said, essentially, that it meant "not guided by God." I asked him if gravity was random, and he said I was just being silly. He wouldn't argue after that.

I swear, if I hear that lame "tornado through a junkyard building a 747" analogy again, I'm gonna snap.
