Disappearing gods

Just found this theory on a board called IIDB. Different...

''I read something funny on the physicsforums.com message board. It is an exciting new theory on why God seems to be missing from the universe. It is possible that this could help us in our understanding of these disappearing gods over the past 2000 years.

Apparently, an all-mighty God would collapse into a black hole singularity by his own mass. It is possible then, that black holes are actually God's that have been crushed by their own might. Why is the important? Well, since you can't see black holes, it could explain why so many Gods have gone missing. Now we can finally answer the question of where Zeus, Odin, Jesus and friends have gone over the years.

Our only hope for the species is that some believers will adjust away from gods altogether and join us and that some of the newborns will escape removal of their rational capabilities.

Happily, miata, you don't go to hell for flushing (fore-flushing) gods because, in fifth-century Croatia there was a little known god of plumbing, "Kjemjoru" (pronounced roughly "Whoosh-gurgle-gurgle") whose sacrament was flushing infidel gods.

I read an interesting clarification of the impregnation by the Holy Spirit thing recently - apparently the ancients thought that the woman just incubated the man's sperm to create a baby, and provided nothing towards its make-up. Hence later on the Catholics had to come up with the idea that Mary was born 'immaculate' (free from original sin) otherwise Jesus would have been impure through Mary's genetic contribution to his human body.

Having said that, if God could arrange for one person to be born with no original sin then doesn;t that make the whole incarnation - crucifixion to atone for sin etc scenario pointless anyway?

Well, there's another thing to add to the list of ad hoc explanations of degenerative Christianity :)

I think if there is a God he or it is not into human suffering and human sacrifice. I do not think he is into the smell of burning flesh. If he loves us and knows our hearts he does not need for us to kiss his feet everyday. He cannot be that powerful and be that insecure. If he can make and maintain even one star he is not so primitive as to enjoy revenge and games such as was played with Job, Noah, and Lot. He did not save Lot to be the father of his own grandchildren. He did not save Noah to have him curse his own son for seeing him naked and turning him black to make him as his future generations slaves. He would not have a bet with Satan using Job as a chess.
No God who had created Satan would allow him to destroy mankind over the one broken rule of eating fruit from a tree as to torture billions of future human beings until the end of time.
He may not be disappearing as much he is ashamed of his sorry ars.

Also I agree with Cal and god too may have some psychosis if he could exist.
