Well they simply need filler for the news story, but Hydrogen and Helium both are lighter than water(H20) so one could reasonably conclude that they would 'float' on water; though they would more likely simply float off... |
Chances are the planet would probably dissipate into the atmosphere of the planet that the water was on.
