Adjusting the clocks wouldn't be necessary but the Earth rotation keeps slowing down and will soon be outside the "perfect zone for human life" that the theists continue to cackle about.

The atomic clock is accurate to within one second in 1.5 Billion years. It took our Moon only a few Million years to stop rotating (wrt Earth) altogether.
