There is a Georgia legislator that is pushing for banning the teaching of evolution in public schools, on the basis that evolution (actually, they're arguing Big Bang and age of the universe, but they don't let facts get in the way of their stories) is really religious teachings of the Pharisees.
A Texas legislator passed on the good word from his Georgia buddy, and got in some hot water (not for the stupidity of the geocentric worldview, but for the anti-Semitic angle), and ended up apologizing.
in fact, Rep. Chisum was gloriously crowned as the Shitlord of the Week for this stunt.
But, all their crap is based on this guy's website, who appears to truly believe that the universe is spinning around the Earth.
