What if we used the JW door-to-door tactic to convert people to atheism. "Hello. I was here in your neighborhood today and stopped by to ask an important question? Why should we solve the riddle of our own existence with the riddle of someone else's? Well, it just so happens that I have a book here entitled A Brief History of the Universe that answers that very question that I just spoonfed you." I'd suit up and do it just for shits and giggles!

hello and welcome - the JW are particular about cutting people off from family if they leave the 'fold' - are you still in contact with yours?

I wonder if he'll be so kind as to add us to his blog as one of his favourites?

Welcome!
I am curious to know whether or not your beliefs on giving/recieving blood have been altered by your deconversion from JW? Or are there still tenets of your old faith that you still hold on to?

@psychodiva - Yes the JW's love to disfellowship. My family and I aren't close but we still talk on occassion. My wife's family is a different matter. But she already has two brother's and a sister outside, one of whom is gay. Seeing how he got treated is really what got us to start drifting. And as far as the blood thing goes, no, I see no reason for an atheist like me to observe any command, let alone one so life-threatening and pointless. And yes I'll add this group to my favs, definitely.

Well done that man
I'll maybe buy you a pint (of blood) one day.
PS; I'm approaching donation of my 50th pint - I wonder if the JWs have me blacklisted?

Welcome aboard! By the way, did you know that only 144,000 people can be atheists?
