Countdown to Crapture

Countdown

We're doomed - just under four months to judgment, then it's white fluffy clouds or raging hellfire.
Are you going up or down and what are your plans for finishing business before the Lawd goes about his smiting?

Stop the Holy See men!

I can't see the polepoll

Oh, there's no time for polling - too many breweries to visit and pistes to bash!
..... and I want to see how many folk write 'I'm going down'

Stop the Holy See men!

Speaking of going down...everyone here is invited to the key-party that I'll be holding on 05/21/11.

I'm also holding a TEOTWAWKI party on 12/21/12. My social schedule is pretty busy for the next few years.

I'll be looking up at them, waving "Bon Voyage!"

If only.

Right. This has gotten to be too silly!

I remember seeing a couple of these countdown websites when I was much younger. I was doing my little kiddie science homework for school and during my research I came across a website saying the solar system is going to go into a catastrophe in a few years and that doomsday will be nearing in exactly x amount of days and hours.

Intrigued by the javascript clock countdown system, I thought the whole website was the real shit. Not to mention my lack of understanding of how javascript clocks were coded, which added all to the intrigue effect in my little kiddie brain. I'm pretty sure the countdown has already expired a few years ago for that ancient website.

So much of this garbage on Discovery/National geo. nostradamus, Mayan bollocks. And of course revelation. Great for disaster movies, but for a form of reality it leads me to worry whether the people who believe in it can actually hold their own willies when having a tinkle.

Yes, they are notorious for that crap. Including the History Channel. And even though the NGC has fessed up to the unreliability of the "gospels" and the lack of hard evidence of Jesus of Nazareth ~ the Testimonium Flavium in Josephus and even his mention in both Tacitus and Suetonius have been demonstrated to be Christian forgeries and even blatant Christian propaganda ~ they still accept that this guy actually existed and insinuate that he actually resurrected, right down to pronouncing his name as J'HEE-sus.

Right. This has gotten to be too silly!

I saw a new Turin Shroud programme which claimed new "EVIDENCE" in favour of it being real I haven't watched it yet, maybe I never will. Also a lot of big foot stuff on as well. I suppose the market for that shit is so big that these guys have to jump in with both feet to attract ratings. Shame.

Yes, that strip of linen. I used to believe it was the real McCoy myself... until I wised up. Of course, there's a strategically "placed" scorch mark (at least I THINK it's a scorch mark!) on that mediaeval relic that I can use to advance what I discovered about a certain method of Roman execution, causing Christian heads to explode!

Right. This has gotten to be too silly!

A real beauty of the shroud is that you can advance any equally bogus fantasy you wish about it with the same authority as any one else.

Have you ever noticed, for example, that real blood turns black but the so-called blood stains on the shroud are still red after all these years since the middle ages?

How about those tell-tale skid marks where the 15th century monks wiped themselves with it?
