Should I let it go? I just don't know anymore.

Should I not ban people posting under multiple accounts? (Not the original, just the secondary.)

Should I not call them out publicly? Is Waddlie not really a sopping vagina?

This was never a problem when any other mod did it. Am I thinking about this too much?

Why can't you fuckers just have one account?

those with two accounts should be publicly exposed, and then humiliated and anally violated. IF this does happen to everyone but me then the terrorists have one.

I don't think you need to do an immediate ban, but maybe PM the infringer and let her/him know you only get one account, and let them pick which one to close.

I think self-policing works pretty well here, so I don't see the harm in letting us know who the user with multiple accounts is (assuming you are positive about the infraction), and catching shit from the other members should help prevent some occurences.

As far as banning them, I think it is an iron-clad rule against multiple accounts, instituted by Chris. I don't see why you shouldn't ban them.

That's not my ballgame, so I don't know. But I guess technically, people could be using shared pc's and/or common IP addresses, so preventing a user from registering by IP address isn't practical.

So is there a chance that VladTheImpaler wasn't MegaHotDonna? Technically, I guess. There exists the possibility that two douches who only post about 9/11 conspiracies exist and use the same PC or work at the same company and never post at the same time as one another. But I'm not calling myself agnostic about that possibility.

You can't register twice with the same e-mail address, however.

In addition to the anal violation that others have proprosed, I think if your username consists of the letters "f," "r," "a," "n," "c," "i," and "s," then you should be banned after the first sign-up.

But we need another option, too, besides just the anal violation. I fear that some shit-stirrers may enjoy getting their shit stirred.

i used to contact them before banning. i gave them a few days. if the person never responded, or continued posting even after warning about the double account, i would ban. if the previous account had been banned, the new one got the same treatment. if it had not, i would ban the new one and tell the offender about the older one.
if you want, prof, i can do the bannings...don't want to worry your pretty little head with things like this...
some people really forget their old passwords, you know......

Oh, I know, people forget. That's why I gave Hannah the warning. It's just the Shitlords (greatmuslim10) and douchewizards hiding from ridicule (VladtheImpaler) that I banned their second accounts.

Anal is a good idea, too.

Yes they do and they sometimes have a hard time contacting me or try to fix it themselves.

Please try to treat people how you'd like to be treated. Not every member is as savvy as some of us.

I hope people (other than Twattlie) think I've been fair. I was respectful to Hannah about the whole thing.

The only other times this happened was people that had already been banned and a certified Shitlord, so respect would have been uncalled for.

Oh, and the 9/11 guy. I PM'ed him with instructions to use his old account.

Firstly, I accept your point about me being a sopping vagina. However, your complete inability to take a bit of criticism without throwing your toys out of the pram yourself suggests that you too could do with growing a pair.

Secondly, yes, you were thinking about this too much. I noticed what appeared to me to be an apparent trend developing where forum members were being treated like cunts without ever being given the benefit out of the doubt. I cited a couple of (admittedly very minor) examples. It's not the end of the fucking world.
