Are you having a laugh at my expense, or are you actually serious in this ridiculous accusation? Because there is nothing that you've written that I have no addressed, no matter how absurd what you've written has been. I have spent far more time than your nonsense warrants addressing every ludicrous "point" in your meandering ramblings. I even addressed points so preposterous that they did not even deserve to be addressed.

Clearly, I've been wasting my time with you.

Of course "hows" and "whys" are different from each other. I wasn't implying that they weren't. In fact, that was exactly the point I was making, and I went into great detail outlining the differences. Do you even bother to read what I write, or do you simply choose selected parts without bothering to address others?

I was asking if you view them differently from how other people view them. People other than you view "hows" mechanisms and "whys" as motivations. Do you view "hows" as something other than mechanisms and "whys" as something other than motivations? Do you view "hows" and "whys" differently from how other people view them?

It's all about poo and pee for Jerry. Either it's poo or it's pee. Don't expect anything else from this mentally-unbalanced defecator.

What beliefs am I presenting?

I don't have an aversion those who disagree with me. I just require evidence and reasoned argument to support what I believe, and I'm, interested to know what people believe and why they believe it. Remember, you came to an atheist forum.

You use this position as some "get out of jail free card" but you don't apply it all times, only when your supposed neutrality is questioned
Please explain what you mean by "get out of jail free car".

I apply the same disbelief for any claim I am presented with. I require demonstrable evidence and reasoned argument. Name one claim I believe that I don't apply the same level of skepticism for.

Why? Because we require evidence to support our beliefs?

Jerry, what the fuck is your point? Are you insisting that we should believe in the existence of an undefineable "it?" Why should we do that and what about that fact that you choose to do that makes you a better human being than anyone else here?
What makes me a better human than many here is I'm not initially a cunt, I can easily be a cunt, but I'm not one by default. Many here, are.

You seem a little slow. Your 'illuminations' are so fucking obvious that they really require no explanation. I know it's a ploy to portray that I don't understand the atheist perspective (you attempt to uphold) as if I did understand it, I'd agree. This 'ploy' is old, transparent and boring.

Try to consider something other than "fuck", "cunt" and "poos". Otherwise you'll just continue being a dreary fuck.

With all your brilliant psychological training I'd expect you to know if you ignore 'bad' behaviour then it will eventually stop. I doubt your profession and supposed skills. You're just too desperate when you state and imply that you have them.

By addressing "all" I've said, I mean why do you single out exceprts from a paragraph and address a sentence? It simplfies all that I've said and loses context. It may aid you to address a single sentence, but I can't be bothered to go back to see the context of each statement I've made for each exceprted "quote". You can just bold it if you want to address it - it makes it easier.

It depends what you've been trying to achieve.

Neither, I was asking for clarification of what you were asking. There's no point in making any assumptions.

Don't be condescending. This points bears no relation to the topic, apart from you stating I obviously don't understand how and why, otherwise why would I ask for a why when only hows are required? You're presuming what you're concluding here.

Assuming all that is, is obseravble by science. All that can ever be, and is, must be able to understood by humanity otherwise it doesn't exist.

Who told you to think these were both correct? I realise you require hard evidence to prove otherwise, but you have to apply a set of beliefs to consider this to be true. Or on what grounds do you discount the possilbity that everything that exists is not observable?

I know this. The reason why I came back is due to the intense dislike for those who think otherwise to the regular atheists who come here. You can take it personally if you want, but I have no idea who you are apart from that you label yourself as an atheist, although supposedly there are, and are not, multifarious uses for the term. It depends on the circumstances or so I've heard.

You can be a complete condescending arsehole to anyone who disgarees wth your perspective but then state "Hey I never said I know". So why be a cunt in the first place?

Your belief requires a view of that all that is, is observable. How are you sceptical of this?

Quote:

No because your belief assumes that all evidence is obtainable and observable.

I only quote one sentence so that my posts are massive blocks of quotes, Selly. That does not mean that I haven't addressed your entire point, or that I've taken them out of context. It just means that I quoted the core of the idea for the sake of space.

I'm neither concluding nor presuming anything at all. All I'm doing is asking you a question.

Do you view "hows" as something other than mechanisms and "whys" as something other than motivations?

This question bears much relation to the topic, since when I described "hows" as mechanisms and "whys" as motivations, you demanded that I explain how I knew that. What bears no relation to the topic is how I know that, unless you view them differently. If you view them differently, I will explain how it is that I know that "hows" are mechanisms and "whys" are motivations. I will also ask you how it is that you view them so that I can understand your view on the matter. If you don't view them differently, then I know in the same way that you know, and there is no need for me to explain it to you.

And I'm not being condescending. I'm trying to understand your views in these matters so that we can have a productive conversation. Stop being a whiny little cry-baby about it.

For instance, when you use the phrase "get out of jail free card," and someone asks you what you mean by it, why don't you just explain what you mean by the phrase instead of calling him a condescending arsehole, which he wasn't being when he asked for a simple explanation?

I have no issue with how you have presented yourself and I don't consider you to be conceited.

I think there is a high level of smug in most atheists, which is ironicially, what irreligious continually accuses me of. Like I said before, never the twain shall meet. I found it very funny when someone here had the brilliance to offer I don't know what it means. No of course I don't, only atheists understand anything. Conceited? What does that mean?

That's fine, but it just take more time as it requires having to reference my previous posts. Maybe you could just make several posts. I don't think it this site would require more bandwidth.

No I don't.

I'm not crying about it like a whiny little baby. If you mispresent what I've said and then ask how I come to this conclusion using descriptions such as "meandering ramblings", "your nonsense.." I'm unsure how you expect me to respond? Should I say oh ok, he made a valid point point there?
