I can cross the border both ways!
Irreligious (without a valid passport, enhanced driver license, or actual birth certificate) and I (with a dog with no vaccination record) took Smelly to Niagra Falls and back. Got Stern Talking To's from each border agent. Leo, the US official, had a fat sidekick muttering about what stupid fuckers we were. But we were compliant and didn't argue. "How do you all know each other?" "An internet forum." "Which one?" "The one with a lot of philosphers and scientists on it." "OK." I think the creds attached to my license (which Leo also demanded) made his decision to let us pass. (Why is Monte Python in my head now?) And I was looking forward to my car being disassembled like all the other times Irr tried to come home.  "I do not intend to tiptoe through life only to arrive safely at death."
