One of the most irrational of all the conventions of modern society is the one to the effect that religious opinions should be respected....That they should have this immunity is an outrage. There is nothing in religious ideas, as a class, to lift them above other ideas. On the contrary, they are always dubious and often quite silly.

Reminds me of a quote I saw on FSTDT when some fundy argued that the virgin birth was possible because aphids could reproduce asexually.

I always find it funny that the people who use this argument will then say that humans aren't animals and can't be compared to them in their behaviour.

:wall:
That would be a great excuse for a fundy female teenager who gets pregnant without being married to tell her fundy parents: "hey, remember? parthenogenesis....Virgin Mary?"

Well, this is a miracle of the Sphyrna zygaena kind....I'm certain Apollo-Thor-pisces impregnated this shark via invisible penis. Praise be Hammer Christ
Christians and other folks infected with delusional beliefs think and reason like schizophrenics or temporal lobe epileptics. Their morality is dictated by an invisible friend called Jesus.
