Source of morality

I'm subbed to The Thinking Atheist on Facebook and today he posted a very interesting vid. Enjoy!

Oxytocin promotes prosocial behavior and we like that. Cool. I just think it's stupid when scientific discussions use the "m" word. Morality is God's next door neighbor in Never Never Land. Why use that stupid word? Prosocial and antisocial are words for grown-ups.

Meanwhile -

Let's say the government decided to put drinkable oxytocin in the water supply. Like or dislike?

Not there or doesn't care.

That might not work, as I found this statement in the Wikipedia article:

Oxytocin is destroyed in the gastrointestinal tract, and therefore must be administered by injection or as nasal spray.

The article:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxytocin

And, Psychodiva, I did read the whole thing, even though the information I sought was in one small paragraph.

I thought you said you didn't care what any of us thought? So, you do care? I do wish you would make up your mind already. - NKB
