A debate you guys may be interested in

Hi everyone,

I lurk here occasionally, but frequent another message. It's a poker board, but is very, very, busy. They have many OT forums, one of them is Math, Science, and Philosophy. In this forum, they are having some relgious debates. Many of these people are normally the most logical when analyzing a poker hand, but some of the things that they're saying is just mind-boggling. If anyone here would like to partake in some debate on a neutral ground (not an atheist board, or a Christian board) there's a good spread of people involved over there, and I'd really like to see some of the minds over here put some of those yahoos in their place. :D

It's a very strange coincidence that I just read this post. I just got done watching a news report on BBC and it seems that the right wing Christians are once again attempting to shove their dogma down others' throats. They're trying to get online gambling sites blocked or shut down. Now this is really just getting absurd. Gay marriage and abortion don't really affect me, but now they're trying to stop me from enjoying a game of poker on the internet!

Are the English trying to shut down their own gambling sites? Won't people just go to .com or .ca or .anythingotherthanuk?
Are they gonna take down all the sites in every country?

We ought to realize that Christians are MENTALLY ILL, and their neurological disorder MUST be addressed by neurologists ( a meek puscillanimous scare bunch) so we can place those retards in the asylums they belong..

When the Christ-psychotics are placed in sanatoriums, religious psychosis will be viewed for the mental illnes it truly is...We, the SANE, will get back our planet which has been under the control of those NUTS for millennia..:)

As far as I'm aware government control can force providers to block access to other service providers if they have 'questionable' sites on them. A good example is the Canadian government blocking access to off-shore tax haven banks. These crazies might be able to stop gambling on-line.
