the holy TP must not be defiled, but TP that has been used as a jizzmop may never be used as TP again. The only acceptable way to recycle jizzmop paper is to throw it at christians while it is still damp. Once dried it loses all of it's holy power.

Sorry, Judge, you are one pathetic extremist. All that rationality, doncha know. Isn't there a logic switch to flip "off", so you can really go apeshit?
Sheesh this is getting tricky! Ok, no paper money, (or cheque books) no jizz mags, and no TP...but all other paper must BURN!

@Loggy: As soon as I find this logic switch I will flip it in order to properly flip out - that is my "holy" atheist quest - to enable the full expression of my apeshittedness and consternation at.....blank....paper....and...

Once dried it also loses it's sticking power rendering it less effective at adhering to theists faces...oh cum (over) all ye faithful!

Choobus, being a bit of a porn freak - just wondered if you got the idea for this "jizz-bomb" from jizzbomb.com:D

One can, of course, labor mightily, for days on end, to keep a given jizzmop righteously wet pending the proximity of a properly penetent papist.

Thanks to SAB for these: So it's kinda like Leviticus 15:32 "This is the law of him that hath an issue [a tissue], and of him whose seed goeth from him, and is defiled therewith;"

Also Lev. 15:17 "And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even."

The seed thereon usually happens in the even already which could lead to an infinite regress of evens melding with thereons.

Hey people, as an Indian, I can tell you that this guy has already pretty much been derided by everyone in the country. Unfortunatly, as progressive as India is, some our of 150 million Muslim minority are assholes, despite living in a democracy that engages in active minority-appeasment, and has a current Muslim president.

A while back, one of our tennis players, Sania Mizra, who is Muslim (at least in name), was told by some old codger that she must wear less revealing clothes whilst playing tennis - because Indian Muslims are generally into the whole 'rationality' thing more than their western/northern counterparts, she openly called him a moron on TV, without any fear.

Quote:
Um... isn't this illegal? He's calling for a hit, right?
Yup, he is being tried, and someone has issued a satirical bounty of the same amount on his head ;-) He is actually just saying this because he is an old-fashion Indian leftist from what I heard - i.e. the sort of minority-appeasing fake-communist that kept India behind with Soviet-style economic policies till the 90s.

Quote:
Only illegal in the civilised world. In islam it's perfectly fine do this sort of thing apparently - no-one has got arrested as far as I can tell.
Im pretty sure he was arrested, and India is the civilizaed world, despite the best efforts of evangelists and Islamists.

This was a major embarrasment the day I heard it - but then, India is kinda used to being embarrassed, now that most ignorant people think we are a Muslim country - rest assurred there hasnt been any stupid largescale protest in India, and I hope thats because most of our population is rational and cultured enough, due to good old Indian sensibilities.

Then again, stare at the koran or bible too much, and anyone will start believing that all idolaters must perish.

Anyway, vote Cuthulhu.

Thanks MdS for the update - it is reassuring to know that some justice came out of this - such significant news follow ups are rare in the West - which no doubt aids in the formulatio of stereotypes and racist beliefs. Nevertheless the fact that his words are out there now and fanatics need little encouragement as it is - mean that it's entirely probable that at least some of those Danish cartoonists will die at the hands of these deluded cunts.

What's it like being an atheist in India? Do you find you have adequate liberalism to be able to expres your ratioanlity?

Yeh, its not a problem, India has a long tradition of freedom of belief, not just in modern times, but also throughout all history, afterall, the earliest school of atheism 'carvaka' can be traced back to India, where it has never been persecuted (except by Muslim and Christian fundies) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carvaka - we have a long tradition of public discussion and debate, going back 2500 years at east, and public discussion is basically the most basic tenet of democracy. Heres a quote from a Times review of a book by Amartya Sen:

Quote:
Sen believes that it is a fundamental western mistake to see India as enveloped in an eternal mystical fog: instead he traces the region’s rational, analytical, sceptical and even atheistic traditions back to their earliest roots. The Rig Veda, India’s oldest sacred text, written when the Pyramids and Stonehenge were still in use, enshrines this idea of uncertainty about the divine: “Who really knows?” it asks. “Who will here proclaim it? Whence was it produced? Whence is this creation? Perhaps it formed itself, perhaps it did not. The one who looks down on it from the highest heaven, only he knows — or perhaps he does not know.”

Likewise, the great Hindu scriptures are notably open to ambiguity. In both the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, even the greatest heroes have their weaknesses and the opponents their strengths: nothing is black and white; alternative views are always presented. Even the Gita, the endlessly subtle centrepiece of Hindu scriptures, is a debate between Arjun and Krishna, both of whom hold equally tenable moral positions and different understandings of dharma or duty.
And that was written perhaps 1000 years before the old testament.

I guess some people are not familiar with India's modern history, mainly because we were sidelined during the Cold War for being non-aligned, and later were forced to move closer to the Soviet Union's influence due to American support for Pakistan, who are a bunch of fundies with Chinese-made nukes.

Our constitution guarentees freedom of beliefs, etc: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fundame...uties_of_India

1. Right to Equality
2. Right to Freedom
3. Right against exploitation
4. Right to freedom of Religion
5. Cultural and Educational Rights
6. Right to Constitutional Remedies

Some of our Muslims have tended to be more pluralistic than even their Arab counterparts in liberal times:

Quote:
“no man should be interfered with on account of religion, and anyone is to be allowed to go over to a religion that pleases him” - Akbar the Great
I sometimes worry that modern Hindu fundies are making that religion more like Christianity and Islam, i.e. with added dogma, singular viewpoints, etc - I dont really want India to have a conservative belt, the way America does.

The Hindu holy texts ask questions that are essentially atheist, because prior to the arrival of the conversion faiths, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Carvaka, etc, were essentially just facets of one giant Indian school of philosophy.

I might make a topic on carvaka out of interest - it dissappeared around the 1500s after almost 2000 years, maybe it was simply absorbed into modern atheism - it was essentially sceptical/rationalistic, and the lokyata school of carvaka seems to have advocated pure materialism.

I cant remember if you were around back when I was more active, but heres my intro thread, it explains a few things about India: http://ravingatheist.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1522

---

Back on topic though - its rather tragic that this came from an Indian mouth, but I doubt anyone will take it seriously - even fundies need a cleric to give them programming, not some leftist maytr playing for votes in the world of Indian politics - this guy is essentially our George Galloway, except less well known, and probably currupt - the only reason we are discussing him is because he was blessed with media attention in an attempt to grab another fundie story - except India isnt like Pakistan or Saudi Arabia, so its a good example of how one man can contribute to a fucked up reputation - people reading this article must think we are Saudi Arabia or something, especially since they declined to report his probably speedy arrest.

P.S., heres a list of his charges:

Quote:
Qureshi is charged with engaging in a "criminal conspiracy (Section 120 B of IPC), abetment in India of offence outside India (Section 108 A), abetment of offence punishable with death, if offence not committed (Section 115) and promoting enmity between different groups (Section 153 A)."
Indian courts are slow and beaurocratic (think British empire), but the guy will at least get a hefty fine, and probably elected out of whatever constituencey he serves in. Meh Indian politics is interesting at least - someone found having sex with prostitutes or having mafia ties every five minutes :-\

I doubt any Arab countries are gonna be prosecuting the numerous clerics who have stirred this up with similar shit - that includes Pakistan, who like to pretend they are Arab in order to forget that their ancestors were raped and killed into becoming Muslim.

http://www.asiamedia.ucla.edu/articl...parentid=39537

Note how in the article above, India's Muslim community is already on his case - you wouldnt see that even in some more liberal Arab country like Egypt. Even the notoriously conservative, yet virtually ignored, authority of Muslims in India, said this:

Quote:
AIMPLB legal adviser Zararyab Jilani said: "The board has nothing to do with these fatwas; but even if we consider that the Shariat does prescribe death penalty for anyone committing blasphemy with the name of the Prophet, such a fatwa would have legal sanctity only in a country governed by Islamic law."
