Britains secularist/leftist Labour party have won the previous 3 elections; 1997,2001 & 2005 and whilst they were winning those 3 elections they never showed any desire to change Britains voting system. Now that they have lost an election they are queueing up on the media to proclaim their love of proportional representation in a bid to hang onto power in coalition with the centre/left Liberal Democrats.
Whilst this may not yet happen, and I hope and pray that Britain gets the government it needs as opposed to the one it deserves, it does show these people up for what they are. Whilst they speak with their mouths a mantra of fairness we can see from their actions the only thing that is of interest to them is power. Last night in his speech, after winning his parliamentary seat, Gordon Brown, the last prime minister, stated that just over the road was the church where his father was the minister and that was where he started to leard about 'social justic'. Sadly for this country it was also where he decided to rebel against the God that gave the world his Son and whose followers have given this world the freedoms and justice that it now enjoys. If you take the real reason for the social justice away you get a hunger that is always filled with something, which in this case is the desire for POWER. The thought of losing their priveliges, power and the wealth that comes with it has brought the Labour party's true colours to the fore. Sadly it maybe Britain that pays the price with many years of weak/coalition governments if they change our the voting system that they have supported for the last 100+years. Britain is in danger of sinking further into the abyss of good words and deceitful action and continuing to get ever more broken, as the poor, disabled and meek suffer for the desire of these people to play croquet on the lawns of our parliament.
