i wonder why you quote that contemporary of yours, Johnny?
anyways, you are a coward. debate tenspace, if you love it that much.
One of the most irrational of all the conventions of modern society is the one to the effect that religious opinions should be respected....That they should have this immunity is an outrage. There is nothing in religious ideas, as a class, to lift them above other ideas. On the contrary, they are always dubious and often quite silly.

Hey, Eva, I just drove past the llama farm after spending a lovely eveing with the Amish. There was lone star upon the mangery thingy the llamas hang out in when it's raining. It looked like a beastly nativity scene...I think they ate the baby jeebus, though. No baby jeebus in the llama house.

It seems like Darwin answered that question quite well when he described the evolution of the eye in a later revision of the Origin of Species. That was in 1872. Wow, you're about 136 years behind the times, aren't you?

Awww, Kate. Brings back fond memories of visiting the Amish this summer with you, Scatty a.k.a. Gnosi and Clambake.
I didn't know the Amish raised llamas, though. How come we didn't see any? Are llamas shy?

My erstwhile father in law was visiting Peru.
Having been raised on a farm,he was fascinated by the Llamas.---until one spat on him.
"It was disgusting!" he said " the goozie was was GREEN!"
True,I swear.

What a demonstration of childish nonsense. You clowns are worse than the inmates at "After The Bar Closes" and Pharyngula.

Eva , super moderator.
Scientists don't debate, they discover. You can't name a single advance in science that was influenced in any way by debate. The sad part is you don't realize it.

You are aware that we're not a blog, right? Maybe that could be it?

The llama farm isn't Amish, it's on the way to the Amish, kinda around the corner from my dad's. Llamas are most definitely not shy. They're mean, like camels. Eva and I stopped to take some piccies after touring Amish land. One came closer and posed, even! But not close enough to land one of them green goobers on us. Whew!
I was happy to see that they ate baby jeebus, though!
