Your point is square on, and also the author's to the study admit that they could not stop the Non prayed for group from praying for themselves, or receeving prayer from third parties.

This study is weak.

I doubt there will be clinical adoption to the method of telling patients they are not being prayed for, so they get less arrhythmia post surgery!!
