Damn Virus

My e-mail account has been infected, hijacked and used to send junk spam to everyone in my address book. So, if any of you who I've been in direct contact with over the years receive copious offers of wholesale viagra or penis enlargement programmes - please delete, unless you really are desperate.

I've upgraded my interweb protection software which has booted out a couple of trojan turds and changed my account password & security bumf. Do any of you more savvy techy folk think I should do anything else?

..... and does penis enlargement work?

I do my penis enlargement the old-fashioned way...I rub it (or have it rubbed).

I just knew this thread would develop into small-talk.

No, you are mistaking me for the Clapper. I've never admitted to having an undersized weenie (and I don't let my wife post here).

Say "No" to everything Microsoft and you'll wonder why they are even allowed to be in business. I personally endorse PC-BSD but any *nix will do.

well I did consider the offer but I decided penis enlargement wasn't for me there and then - maybe later

I did wonder why I was receiving several emails from you after the first one you sent, which was a lovely JPEG of you, me and Kate. Thanks, by the way.

The second email from you was hawking vitamins from Canada. At first I thought, maybe, you had entered a new line of work. And when I saw about a dozen more emails from the same address, I figured your email account had been hijacked.

Good trip indeed - I do hope to get back sometime.
I'm fairly confident I might have got rid of the damn virus thing - perhaps I should try praying?!

We have one Linux machine, and I think the user community is great, but here some of the problems we have

No Games
No high functioning database program with gui (like ms access)
Can't link the ipods
No Intuit products
No peach tree

There are Linux equivalents and you can link an ipod, they are no more difficult to master than winduhs programs. There's a bit of a learning curve but it's no worse than XP versus 7.

QCAD. That's just the easy to install one for PCBSD, there's likely many other freely available programs.

Zombie thread time.

Didn't reply to this at the time as, with respect to clambake, rowing with Linux users has the same result as arguing with any other religious in my experience. However, now is the time to come out & say it. QCAD is pants; a horrible unproductive mess; as was every other penguin oriented excuse for a CAD program.

Last February Dassault Systèmes released DraftSight which is on a free licence sponsored by SolidWorks. It is a superb professional product, & it works on Linux, so we can now cross that one off the reasons not to list.

Or can we? /spit/proprietary/spit/.
