Hello Fellow Sinners

Hello everybody well some smelly old git asked me to introduce myself before commenting on any forums, so here goes:

Speaking as an atheist, I feel in my brain that god does not exist except in the hearts of delusional idiots. When I was 11 I realized that religion was bullshit and all my teachers were bullshitters. I concluded before the Internet made atheism relatively fashionable that babies used dummies, small kids used their teddy bears and mommies and then most surprisingly of all adults including my parents used religion as a comforter.

Well in those days to come out and say Christianity is bullshit and I don't believe in god or jesus christ or talking snakes or magic apples, etc. was instant social ostracism. I even got caned by a Divinity teacher for suggesting that the whole Noahs Ark story was ridiculous for reasons I don't need to repeat to godless sinners like you.

I read chariots of fire and all of a sudden something made my logic circuits resonate and I was hooked and have been ever since on the ancient aliens theory.

So now getting close to judgement day I find myself married to a christian and worse of all my sons are too. That means I am the black sheep of the family and get all sorts of shit from family and neighbors who like 99.9% of christians have never even read the bible.

I have given up debating with christians as it is a complete waste of time and energy. I came to this site in the hope of finding people with whom to voice my dislike of religious people. Not because they believe in fairy stories but because they discriminate against me cos I don't love their skydaddy or sing out of tune with them on sundays so their skydaddy will feel glorified.

I can only speak for simple ol' me, but I'll wager that not many here really dislike religious people - more like disliking the religions that have addled their brains.

Still, have fun venting, there's sure to be some here to join the ranting!

Well religious people in general sure as hell dislike us atheists and not only that will do their utmost to harm us in any way possible, for example refusing to give jobs to atheists or not voting for us in elections, etc., etc. So I don't see why we have to like them. If they leave me alone and accept me for what I am or rather what I am not I have no problems with them. I guess I have to qualify each and every statement as if I was in some high school debating club. Thanks but I'll give it a miss. Good luck and best wishes. See you all in Hell!

Well I agree with you at least that the holey bible is full of horseshit. However, I can't understand how you dismiss the entire Chariots of the Gods (yeah I forgot the title, I read it when I was nine years old and while my classmates were busy looking at naked tits (or dicks also, perhaps) in National Geographic magazines). I thought atheists "beliefs" were meant to be evidence-based and not based on faith or prejudice. You remind me very much of the spiteful old spinster, a loving Christian, who was my class teacher at the time. She asked me to bring the above mentioned book my late Uncle gave me as a birthday present to the front of the class and tell everyone about it. She also ridiculed the book and me too for wasting time reading such rubbish (she would never use words like "shit"). However, your sarcastic reply does not detract from my interest in the ancient aliens theory. I had hoped on a RavingAtheist forum to receive more intelligent replies, especially since this theory is evidence-based and tries to explain our origins and fixation with "gods" without resorting to a magic man in the sky who created everything in six days, etc. etc.
Seeing as you are so knowledgeable about the subject that you can dismiss it all as horseshit I would be very interested in how you explain the following picture. Not sure if you know this, but recent excavations have found several even larger stones neatly arranged under the Baalbek site.

http://masteringtruth.com/sites/defa...e/baalbeck.jpg

Even Richard Dawkins has not dismissed this theory as horseshit, alhough he has refused to look at the evidence surrounding 9/11, probably because he does not want to risk becoming a persona non grata among the mass media moguls and risk all his on-air time...

I am looking forward to your alternative theory.

I had hoped people would be friendlier on this site, but I guess seeing as I was seeing red and blowing off steam after another onslaught of abuse from my Christian relatives (because I am a self-confessed atheist) I came across as a horse's asshole.

Well, of course it MUST be aliens.

Quote:
PaleoBabble readers know that ancient astronaut theorists suffer from a fixation on megalithic construction. The “impossibility” of moving stones of great size and tremendous weight appears to them as proof of alien assistance. This argument of course is simply reduced to “since I can’t figure out how it was done, it must have been aliens.” Rather than focus on the absurdity of this logic, I’ve tried to introduce readers to peer-reviewed scholarship on ancient construction and engineering. Egypt’s pyramids have received a lot of attention here in that regard. I want to turn now to Baalbek, specifically the famous trilithon (the three stones at the base of the Roman temple at the site).
As for Erich von Daniken, any dolt can go get Mr Google to explain why his 'ideas' are such horseshit!

Hi Mod, Yes you are right of course as always and there are other theories such as the possibility of an advanced civilization in the past that was destroyed by some cataclysmic event.

The fixation on megalithic constructions is due, at least in my case, to the fact that mainstream archaeology can't explain them which demonstrates the need to find / look for alternative theories.

At least we probably agree it was not the Devil that placed them there along with dinosaur fossils to tempt us away from the word of god.

Can we at least agree upon that?

BTW, besides my copraphilia and fixation on megalithic structures I also have a fixation on the elongated skulls any dolt can can see in Paracas Peru if they get off their sofa and go see for themselves.
I always thought Christians were closed minded, but now I am beginning to think they don't have the monopoly on this after all.

I wonder if you're as dishonest as the 'scientist' controlling the DNA anal-ysis as part of his tour business?
Quote:
There have been no studies released about the DNA of these skulls. Brien Foerster apparently sent samples to an unknown geneticist, who apparently told him that the DNA is not human, after it had been admitted that most of the samples were contaminated. Foerster then tells the world the results are in and that they are alien hybrid skulls. But you have to buy his book to find out more.
Quote:
Why are the skulls large and oddly shaped?

There are multiple reasons why the skulls may be large and misshapen, but it is generally considered as fact that artificial cranial deformation was at least somewhat commonly practiced in a number of cultures, including Peru. The practice still occurs in a few places today, such as Vanuatu. Photos of people with artificial cranial deformities are not hard to find. No statistical difference in cranial capacity has been found between artificially deformed skulls and normal skulls in Peruvian samples.

.... but of course, it MUST be aliens!

Oh Thank you so much S(m)OG for your edifying reply, I had never heard about cranial deformation among primitive peoples. How embarrassing.
Just one minor problem; deformation by binding alone or binding against a wooden board does not explain why the skull structure as opposed to its shape is so different. Human skulls have three cranial plates whereas SOME of the elongated Paracas skulls have only two cranial plates. Yes actually I was kidding you, sorry. I did know all about skull binding and as always you are always right, many skulls have indeed been found with clear evidence that they are normal human skulls that have been deformed by binding the infant's heads. However, binding can not change the number of cranial plates and other anomalies seen in SOME of the Paracas skulls.
Funny how the mainstream archaeologists have avoided the obvious need to do a thorough DNA test to expose this outrageous Charletanism, as a result of which the late Lloyd Pye and Brian, a personal friend of mine after meeting him in Peru, had to resort to an unknown genetecist for the extremely expensive anal-ysis.

So, it MUST be aliens - no other reason is possible!

Actually Mr. Mod, I don't think the fact that the elongated skulls have only two cranial plates means they MUST be aliens as you erroneously assume. I think it is probable that they are survivors of some other branch of evolution. If they were in fact aliens I would expect them to have more technologically advanced clothing and at least an i-Phone in their pockets.

I came here to discuss christianity and christians and how to live with them under the same roof, if that is possible.
However, if you prefer to debate other matters that is fine by me. I guess seeing as how you banned all the theists you have to find other subjects to anal-yse.
Unlike some, I am always open to new ideas and experiences and try to maintain a healthy skepticism about my own. In this case the ideas presented by you are rather old hat and simplistic, but debating with an atheist/atheists is new to me and very interesting and revealing.

I am hoping this will help me understand how to better debate with christians in the future. Later, with your kind permission of course, I would like to share these findings with other members, if any, who are open to some self anal-ysis.

I actually do respect your intelligence, possibly because I have not debated so many stupid christians as you, so assume you do in fact know about the CARGO CULT, if you don't, not to worry as any dolt can ask Mr. Google or Mr. Wiki Pedia.
According to your "logical" anal-ysis above, because a primitive people does something, then whatever it is incredulous anal-ysts, like me think they are copying does not in fact exist.

That being the case, does the above photograph disprove the existence of Gatwick Airport????
