One of the most irrational of all the conventions of modern society is the one to the effect that religious opinions should be respected....That they should have this immunity is an outrage. There is nothing in religious ideas, as a class, to lift them above other ideas. On the contrary, they are always dubious and often quite silly.

I still have my elephant. I was cleaning out my wallet today and was reminded of our excellent adventure. That is the best reason to avoid spending it--saving it as a reminder of good times.
Reality is not a belief. We do not take it on faith, it confirms itself whenever we see physics, chemistry, biology etc. working as predicted by their various empirically obtained rules. - Sternwallow

I still have my elephant too, he's keeping my turntable save from mice! Coming up on the second anniversary, anybody up for another round?

I have my elephant, too. Still in the little envelope with the ribbon tie. My kitteh loves that little ribbon tie.

I will happily pass on your kind words about elephants and memories of elephants to the craftsperson, now in Florida, who created them.
Making up the baskets was the most fun and the largest project I had pursued for a long time.
