A Colorado man who was rescued from his submerged car by first responders now claims, via his lawyer, that it was something else that saved him: grace, presumably of the divine kind. And he’s getting ready to sue the people who pulled him to safety – because he says they took too long to show up.

I'd like to see him try to provide evidence and lose the case big time.

LOL. But honestly, though I hate Rethuglican ideology, Obama has been unable to make any headway against the plutocrats. How much worse can it get? Perhaps I shouldn't ask that question.

Possible scenarios:

1. American voters are stupid beyond belief.

2. American voters like getting fucked, so they vote for those who will kill social safety nets, turn the education system into bible study, do away with consumer protection, turn police into armed militia who shoot first and ask questions later, give tax incentives to employers who move companies out of the country, and give huge bonuses to crooked bankers. Screw us some more, we love it!

3. American elections are rigged. See GWB and dangling chads.

I think that the fucking Democrats failed big fucking time. They had so much going for them. Any one of them could have run on facts and put Republicans to shame. They could have gone on the obstructionism of the Republicans, that the economy is much better, unemployment is at the levels it was when Bush II took office (and way fucking better than when he left office)... so much, but instead most decided that they were going to try to play the same way the Republicans are playing. So fuck them too.

Makes you wonder if the democrats wanted to win. Its truly baffling, how so many people reject an equitable society in favor of an authoritarian and class oriented one, in the name of freedom.
