I am starting this thread to to discuss how my own philosophy is based upon the writings of Thomas Jefferson[...]
And yet still, after several posts, Francis has failed to even come close to doing what it claimed to start this thread for...

Always question all authorities because the authority you don't question is the most dangerous... except me, never question me.

Ahh, good ol' Francis - a splendid dose of ad hominem, ignore & deflect. What a surprise.

Pick any of the thousands of lists of the basic beliefs of christ-insanity. I'll go for the simple crap from the BBC.

Quote:
Christianity at a glance

Christians believe that Jesus was the Messiah promised in the Old Testament.
Christians believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
Christians believe that God sent his Son to earth to save humanity from the consequences of its sins.
One of the most important concepts in Christianity is that of Jesus giving his life on the Cross (the Crucifixion) and rising from the dead on the third day (the Resurrection).
Christians believe that there is only one God, but that there are three elements to this one God:
God the Father
God the Son
The Holy Spirit
Like his hero TJ, Francis rejects miracles & the resurrection.
So no miracle virgin birth, correct? (how the supreme creator of the universe knocked-up some Middle Eastern tart would make great reading.)
No resurrection - oh dear, two down.
Was JC the Messiah? or just a very naughty boy
Does our Frankie boy accept the concept of saving from sin?
Does he accept the 3 in 1 stupidity?

Either way, it looks like Frankie is doing a severe dose of cherry picking in his redefining of christianity.
I'll stick by declaring him to be about as much of a christian as I am an olympic skier.
I spots me a pattern - I wonder what the lying slimey fraud will redefine next?

Oh, here's a picture of some shit;

Sure. Anyone having trouble with their reading would conclude what you do.

"Ad hominem"? Where? You are the person who has proudly stated his identifier - SMELLY OLD GIT - If you aren't proud of being stinky and old, why is it your moniker?

Yes Francis, you would never declare what someone's religion is or isn't. 🐠
I think people have the right to state what their beliefs are or aren't. Essential to the American/English/predominantly western view is that we need to accept our neighbors and understand that we have more in common than not, whatever our labels.

So a person goes to church every Sunday. He contributes money to it. He thinks it has the last word on the nature of a Supreme Power, etc. He denies he is part of a religion. Do I tell him whether he is a true anything? No I don't. Do I tell him that I don't care what he says, he is in a religion? Yes I do.

Francis still has not expressed its own philosophy, let alone how it is based upon the writings of Thomas Jefferson. The poor sod seems to only be able to cower in avoidance, lashing out pathetically, and conceding immediately after anything it says is challenged. I wonder why Francis bothers to say anything if it is just going to give up and concede when confronted.

Yet another too-weird-to-talk-to atheist.

I made a list of behaviors, not of beliefs. Please read carefully before commenting.
