Signed it. As an American citizen, I am repulsed by this.

My thoughts exactly- Olympic games bugger off

Quote:
The little booklet, urging us to “Get Ahead of the Games”, is full of singularly pointless inanities. It tells us that it will be exceptionally busy across the transport network. No shit, Sherlock. I assumed it would be a BREEZE to get around – after all, London’s transport infrastructure is so timely and reliable on every other day of the year.

Then of course there is this

- Yes, “mind the gap” is a real announcement, but no, it’s not played everywhere. If you’d like to hear it, and get excited and screechy, you’ll need to scurry along to the Central Line at Bank, Northern Line northbound at Embankment and Bakerloo Line at Piccadilly Circus. You’re welcome.

Diva,

I just started taking Intro Psych like I told you I would a while ago. I take the class M-Th. I'm learning so much new stuff and the class is very informative. I think I see why you chose this for a career, it's incredibly interesting stuff. Also, it's amazing how many of my previous ideas about psychology have been proved wrong just in the last two weeks. I just took my first exam Monday and I think I did well. My instructor, Wu, is a pretty young guy, i think late 20s- at the most. He opens the floor for discussion often and this makes the two-hour long class go by rather quickly.

All in all, I'm really enjoying the course and I think that, by the end, it will be money well-spent.

What is "fire sex"? Is that like when people get (sexually?) stimulated by setting things on fire? Or did you mean "fire and sex"?

Pastor Todd Bentley sticks the boot in to heal sick

Quote:
This is Croydon Today website reports that Todd Bentley, 36, of the Fresh Fire Ministries church, says the Holy Spirit often tells him to kick people in the face so he can cure them of illness.

...

The controversial evangelist is also a convicted sex offender having abused a seven year old boy when he was 14.
He told US ABC News that he was very open about the incident.
"I was charged at 15 and I ended up in five youth prisons. The crime was a sexual assault,'' he said. "I was a child and I abused a child. I served time in prison for my crime."
In several YouTube clips Mr Bentley can be seen kicking an elderly woman in the face and knocking over a man who subsequently lost his tooth.
Sounds like a real winner.

Doomsday group charging $5000 for spot in end-of-the-world bunker near Tenterfield

Quote:
A 2012 doomsday group is charging $5000 for admission to a survival bunker in the northern NSW hills. Massive earthquakes, shifts in the Earth's poles and devastating solar flares will be among events faced by the global community this year, according to the group, which describes itself as a "survival community".

The group points to Egyptian texts, Bible passages and a frozen mammoth as evidence the world will undergo massive physical change around December 21.
I'm not sure what the mammoth has to do with anything.
