So, Lily, who forced Catholics to read Pharyngula?

So you're saying that you prefer to remain ignorant when you fear that the truth might be disturbing?

Yet again, you show your utter cluelessness. Apart from the fact that I have done no preaching, ever, the most basic fact that Christianity teaches is that we are all sinners. All of us. So where is the surprise, if I do not live up to the tenets of my own faith?

the difference is that in your 'faith' LillyButt- you get forgiven over and over and over and over- so you get to do it all again over and over and over and over-
I think that is why you are able to keep coming back here to commit the sin of pride again and again

I have already learned 5001 disgusting words for sex, masturbation, women's body parts, and fecal matter, along with its many uses. The majority I learned from you. I just don't feel the need to add any more to the list.

A word can't be intrinsically disgusting, only the meaning attached to it. Any cunt can tell you that.

I disagree. I think it's an important distinction because when you focus on what language people use instead of what they are really saying all kinds of retarded shit can go down.

I'm sorry Uncle Philboid made you sad. Which service did Myers (or his minions) disrupt?
Oh. None? I suppose that exposes perhaps your dumbest statement in this thread (which is some depth to plumb), that there's anything remotely difficult about taking the magic cracker without being detected by the cretins doling them out.
I've been known to bottom feed, if the salad is freshly washed and lightly dressed.

I have said repeatedly, REPEATEDLY, that Jesus was not harmed by Myers. How often must I say it? Will ten times be enough? Fifty? one hundred? How many Irreligious. How many?

I know you have said it, repeatedly. I even repeated you saying it at least once, myself.
All I was trying to get you to see is that Myers inflamed your sensibilities; he didn't hurt your Jesus. He didn't even enter your hallowed halls. What Myers did makes him anti-Christian, perhaps, but not antisocial, even though you detest what he did. Roman Catholics, like yourself, are not above inflaming the sensibilities of others over far more consequential and concrete things than a communion wafer. Get a clue.

Are you crazy? What is wrong with you? Have I threatened Myers in any way? What do you think turning the other cheek means? If you think it means liking what he did, you need to think again. If you think it means forgiving someone who is unrepentant, you need to think again.
|
Am I the one freaking out over a man who put a nail in cracker? Because that sounds mighty damned crazy to me. Be mad, if it pleases you. Don't ignore him. Don't forgive him. What the hell do I care? In fact, why the hell are you even sharing your woes with us? Wouldn't it make more sense to spill it somewhere where it will be appreciated? I mean, you're not gaining any mileage here with your overwrought hysterics.

Can the charade: You're here to preach. That is your sole endeavor here in this forum. You have no other reason to have parked yourself at an atheist Website for so long. Your purpose for being here is to be actively antagonistic, and you're damned good at it.
As for living up to the tenets of your faith, why else would Jesus have allegedly admonished his followers to turn the other cheek, if not for times and situations like these? But I guess that's too big a burden for you to bear, huh?

I thought it might have been a parable, isn't a parable when the jesus tells a joke?
So say if this happened in a rural kitchen where animals sometimes wander in from the yard. What if father Butterfingers dropped the cracker, after converting it to jesus, & the hen pecked & devoured it before a rescue could be attempted.
Would there not then have to be some ritualistic plucking & gutting to recover the bits of body, so they can be dealt with in the proper respectful manner you mentioned earlier?
thank goodness he's on our side

No; we're not.
Only those who believe that "sin" is a real thing can be "sinners."
I don't accept your absurd claim. Therefore, I am not a "sinner."
Whether I have broken the occasional law, on the other hand, is another matter.

Maybe the real surprise is that others, who do not share your belief in your deity, do a better job of living up to them than you do.

That is the whole point, you clueless ninny. That is what I have been trying to make you understand, since day 1. When you inflame the sensibilities of large numbers of people deliberately, you unleash forces you cannot control. Myers can count himself damned lucky that some unstable soul did not actually go after him. Even if you have no moral qualms about doing so, you don't go inflaming the sensibilities of large numbers of people, if you have any sense.

Frankly, the only overwrought hysterics being indulged in here are the ones you are indulging in. I have long since ceased to feel any particular emotion other than distaste for Myers and his ilk, no matter what you and the Pretty Boy think.
Let's be quite clear. The subject came up here. I didn't bring it up. Like everyone else, I am free to comment on anything that interests me. I don't need your permission and I don't give a damn if you like it or not. Live with it.
While I am frustrated as hell with your inability to understand what the issues are, that is your problem, not mine, even though I have been doing my best to explain it to you for what 1000+ messages now? At a certain point, trying to get through to you is useless.

Is it? Have I written nasty letters to the man? To his employer? Have I threatened him? How many of the 63 million Catholics in this country have done that? Is the number statistically significant? I'd say we've done a damned good job of turning the other cheek.
