Introduction? Urghhhh...

Hi there,

I've never been good at this introduction thing, especially in a foreign language...

Let's see... I'm 48, born and raised in Italy in a mildly Catholic family, now living in Switzerland; I've been an atheist since my teen years, but even before that religion never played a big role with me or my family.

I'm an engineer by education, but long ago I decided to "sell my soul" and became a sales manager (I know, I know... shame on me!).

Well, I guess that's all for now, here's me hoping to have many interesting discussions on this fine forum and maybe chew on some theist toys every now and then... *grin*

See you around!

Well that's interesting. Selling your soul usually implies that you made more money that way. In the United States I feel like engineers make a lot more money than anyone in sales. Is that not true in Switzerland?

Greetings you foreign heathen.
I must say your writing is far better than that of many here who claim English as a first language.
You are obviously a cunning-linguist.

Well, here you can make more money in sales, yes. Especially when you're in international sales and a niche market.

Welcome to the raving forums!

Always question all authorities because the authority you don't question is the most dangerous... except me, never question me.

What foreign language? American isn't foreign!

(in case you can't tell that's sarcasm. I'm not even American. Welcome to the forums!)

Benvenuto, and Happy Raving!

Healthy genes act as team-players. They are teamish!
Their winning plays are
salvations of an aliveness of which they are a part.
Only a fraction of genes are selfish/parasitic (and they
parasitize teams).

Buenos Aires & Boutros Boutros Ghali, my Italian is lacking. Enjoy your stay.

A theist is just an atheist with a space in it.

Pardon moi...I have yet to introduce myself...I'm a bloody colonist and I've always known that ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny..since I was a little bloke. But being washed in the blood creeped me out..and listening to Onward Christian Soldiers with Aunt Lila singing about sheep like Mrs Miller with a chicken neck was annoying even for a child. They kill those sheep and eat 'em..but never tell the kids about that part.

So , there ya go..my intro..
Greetings heathens.
Boutros Boutros Ghali..!? that's still funny!... what's he doin now? and Generalisimo Fernando Franco is still dead. And here is the same as there...
only without the t
but this is supposed to be about atheism...and what about i before e ..except after c and blah blah...
Why isn't it athiesm? ... not very British I must say...
