Thanks for the link Chickens!
I saw the video of the frilled shark this morning on CNN. It looks cool as hell.

awesome....
One of the most irrational of all the conventions of modern society is the one to the effect that religious opinions should be respected....That they should have this immunity is an outrage. There is nothing in religious ideas, as a class, to lift them above other ideas. On the contrary, they are always dubious and often quite silly.

Why do the Japs always get to film the cool/creepy animals! First the giant squid, now this!
I guess it's because god didn't give'm souls.

See, when god gives you a soul you are scientifically damned. Good for the Japanese community, they got it right.

Damn that thing looks so awesome, but so scary.
according to the artical, these kinds of sharks live 2,000 feet under the sea. I know for a fact a lot of deep sea creatures are scary looking things... like those demonic looking eels and the fish with all those razor-like teeth.
This is why my biggest fear is being trapped in the middle of the ocean at night. Because you're basically floating in a mass of dark water surrounded by freaky looking creatures that are dangerous, such as sharks, jellyfish, whatever.
Yeah deep sea life scars the hell out of me, but it's still awesome. You need to be pretty hardcore to live in a place like the ocean, so I can understand why a lot of them look like freakin aliens. Gotta respect nature like that.

But you've got nothing to fear. The lawd has blessed you and gave a soul to protect you from these beasts with his mighty arms. You just have to have faith my friend ;)
