One key difference between the most of the left and most of the right is that the right is about personality. They don't care what the joker does, they just want their team to win. When Bush was expanding government and defecating on the market there was nary a peep from the right. If he had turned pro choiced - and spun it the right way they'd have been alright with that too.

But, out side of paid party hacks, the left is primarily about their ideals and so, when a good looking guy shows up and then starts to act like George the crowd starts squealing.

He blew it.

You can't be serious! Who elected a man whose resume could fit on the back of a postage stamp? Whose entire past life (but for what his ghost writer claims about it) has been scrubbed clean? Who had nothing but his incredibly "cool" personality to recommend him? Who is the last politician to send a tingle up anyone's (Democratic, of course) leg?

If you think Pelosi, Reid, et al are about ideals,... Dear God! What planet have you been living on? They are about power. Power to tell you how to live. Power to to try, at least, to put you in a "health care plan" that they will be exempt from. They aren't fools. They just think that you are.

Obama has a pretty decent resume compared to the person this thread is named after. I guess the only resumes that would satisfy you would be those of 80 year old politicians?

Republicans who try to force their definition of life and love don't tell people how to live? At least Democrats pretend to stand for freedom, whether or not they do, but Republicans openly admit and endorse forcing opinions down others' throats.
