and your mothers too, steel and gs!

One of the most irrational of all the conventions of modern society is the one to the effect that religious opinions should be respected....That they should have this immunity is an outrage. There is nothing in religious ideas, as a class, to lift them above other ideas. On the contrary, they are always dubious and often quite silly.

Did you get that from the Tina Turner movie?

No. About 25 years ago, this very friendly, blonde Buddhist girl that I used to see at the bus stop handed me a card with that chant inscribed on it. I still have it.

I did, subsequently, see What's Love Got to Do With It where Angela Bassett as Tina Turner was reciting the chant.

It's the name of Buddhism's Lotus Sutra. Japanese Buddhists chant it during meditation. My ex-Japanese GF used to chant it over and over until I wanted to send her to Nirvana - the Grunge one - I don't care, i don't care, i don't care, i don't care, i don't care, care if i'm old, I don't mind, i don't mind, i don't mind, i don't mind, mind if i don't have a mind, Get away, get away, get away, get away, away, way from your home, I'm afraid, i'm afraid, i'm afraid, i'm afraid, afraid of a ghost.

What does that mean? I know "Wo ai ni" means "I love you".

You are definitely warm. It means, I want to fuck you.

It has been an incredibly useful phrase for me in Shanghai.

Some sort one-person party. I don't expect him to come back.

And GS, it is :Wo xiang he ni zuo ai. “zuo ai" is the translation from English "make love". But the girls feel the word "make" sounds too mechanical. They now prefer "ai ai" (love love).
