I've been to 2 Tea Party protests. I think these sort of things are a little humor-deficient, so I went to both with a sign that said "Stop the children, tax the whales, save the drugs". Most people thought my sign was funny, others branded me a liberal infiltrator. At one protest, I was told to go fuck myself by a man wearing a Jesus Saves t-shirt.

Another time, I was at the Tea Party booth at the county fair, and I was talking to this birther guy. We were debating about drugs, and at the end he basically said, you have to acknowledge authority. I said, well Obama is your president now, do you acknowledge his authority? He said no.

Well there ya go. The law's the law and must be obeyed unless you don't like it.

I'm confused, Brick. Aren't Tea Party members proposing the same things you do, less government, less taxes?

There are various factions. I sympathize with the libertarian one. There are plenty of them who support the War on Drugs, massive military spending, Social Security & Medicare, etc.
