Base 1 is awesome! It has only one digit (0) and all of numerical mathematics becomes trivial and simple and easy in base one. "00 + 00 = 0000" and "00 = 0" so "00 + 00 = 0".

"X^3-17X^2-6X+143 = 0" express in Unary notation and solve for X: "0^0 - 0^0 - 0 + 0 = 0" therefore "X=0" for any equation in which X is a factor.

Quarantine was rejected some time ago, but us guiding shites are open to other suggestions.
I notice that few contributors engage Cal other than to mock his drivel these days - it's a pity Cal hasn't spotted this.

Looks like the Mayan calendar translation & interpretation service has had things well & truly fucked up for quite some time:

A new critique, published as a chapter in the new textbook "Calendars and Years II: Astronomy and Time in the Ancient and Medieval World" (Oxbow Books, 2010), argues that the accepted conversions of dates from Mayan to the modern calendar may be off by as much as 50 or 100 years. That would throw the supposed and overhyped 2012 apocalypse off by decades and cast into doubt the dates of historical Mayan events.

I think I'll book those 2013 holidays after all.
