Good question. There are great lessons that can be learned from Hinduism, as well as many, if not most of the other faiths. I get the sense that Hinduism ultimately revolves around the same higher power. I just believe that the Vedas and early Hindu tradition was meant to be mythological in nature.
Unlike the REAL resurrected redeemer god, born of a virgin under a bright star, Mithra Jesus! Other peoples' religions are always nonsense, aren't they?

And why do you believe in a "higher power?" Why God?
I believe in a higher power. The cunt takes Federal and State withholdings from my check every two weeks. And there ain't shit I can do about it. That's power!

Finally located and then lost again, my old beloved beat-up Red Ryder BB-gun. Kate, it was still in good shape having been wrapped in Cosmolene. *

Sorry, I was wrong, Cosmoline, it is.

Don't say I never admit my errors. (not that you have, Kate).

Oh, I just didn't want anybody with less experience than you to be confused and put their weapons in something totally inappropriate

It is unfortunate that the stuff smells so bad. It is such a turn off that I seldom use it on my weapon even at the risk of having the poor old thing rust shut.

It's also very handy to cram up into your nose to block all kinds of awful smells.

Huzzah ! Teh gays are getting hitched in New York.

Even the mayor is going to preside over a fabulous union later today.

The argument against gay marriage has been that it will destroy the institution of marriage. As idiotic as that sounds, it is at least now a testable prediction ...
