Can We Have a Wiki

There have been a few posts that I thought would be good in a semi static reference. Like the post on Religious attrocities.

I agree Jennifer, it would be great, and fun to do, and valuable to everyone.

Does anyone have any experience of running a Wiki?
Does anyone have any experience of contributing to a Wiki?

I anticipate that there might be problems in practice.

The administrator, Chris, has said that "Due to RA's content, he gets a lot of hack attempts".
A Wiki, then, might not survive!!!

And we attract spammers and ravers of the craziest kind!!!

However, I am one to give things a try!

Yet it might be a *better idea* to establish a team effort of contribution of topics to Wikipedia itself, and simply set up here a sticky that links to them.

They at Wikipedia, then, can handle all the administration challenges.

Also, our entries would then be seen by many more people.

Wikipedia - a great idea PanAtheist! Do you think they would let us?

I don't see why not - just start an article (if one doesn't already exist) called religious atrocities. I suspect that said article would, in practice, be a list linking to the various articles already on wikipedia about specific atrocities.
