I do not know whether or not we can fathom the Author of the universe ( as Thomas Jefferson called him). In humility, if I have to guess, I would say not.

As far as finding my own truth and way in the world, that is what Freedom of Religion is all about. Attempts to force me into the literalist creationist mode are insincere when I have already stated, many times over years, that I do not hold those views. I am a Christian, most similar to that espoused by Thomas Jefferson.

I am not embarrassed by the bible. I have found truth in it, when read in the same sense as the ancient Hebrews read it.
