I think the mindframe is something like this - "If we let them get educated, then they'll start thinking, then organizing, then we lose control." And who wants to lose control?
Couldn't agree more. And that happens in the US, too. Not just with women, but with blacks, Hispanics, the poor, you name it. All non rich-old-white-men groups are included in that.

Hey, if guys are getting all excited (bad pun intended) over Viagra pills to maintain "authority" over women by fucking them, clearly control is crucial.
Couldn't disagree more. I think guys really are "excited over Viagra" because of the given reason - fucking and cumming feels good.

Oh absolutely. But in reference to the article (the 2nd, I believe), I merely meant to point out its insinuation of sex as a method of control - definitely not a new concept in any culture, or any sex. It mentioned Viagra as a means to help aging husbands of 4 wives to better usurp an "authoritative" position. My personal opinion, albeit unaided by any deep study of the culture, is that aside from the obvious pleasure of sexual intercourse, it is very fathomable that the husbands would use sex as a a way of control in their relationships and continued suppression and abuse. If a man is impotent, that would be some "power" lost on his side.

Just happened on this by mistake and was curious how many of you guys had tried viagra, as a recreational drug? If not, do so. My ex-wife is a doctor and gives me samples (i know, very kind of an ex-wife).

However, that was just a joke, all true, but a joke. My question is, do you, or anybody you know need it, medically, not to control women (that can't be done, by the way. it would be easier to catch a sparrow).

Viagra is a great drug as I mentioned in the first paragraph. If you have a disease, such as diabetes or MS, it becomes a lifesaver, because you get those diseases long before you are old men. You just have to fight like hell with your insurance company because they hate paying for it, and it cost between $15-22 a pill (that's what i've heard). hey, that's no joke, some of you may make a lot of money, but i can't afford 44 bucks a day.

just buy a towel rack to hang stuff from. it's cheaper and will last longer.

One of the most irrational of all the conventions of modern society is the one to the effect that religious opinions should be respected....That they should have this immunity is an outrage. There is nothing in religious ideas, as a class, to lift them above other ideas. On the contrary, they are always dubious and often quite silly.

have you ever taken a viagra and after it kicked in, hung a towel from your wee-wee?

i always got a kick out of the warning, "if you get an erection that last more than 4 hours, seek medical attention immediatley". yeah, i will, at the closest brothel. besides, just the thought of walking into the emergency room, "what's the problem", well, look..........nurse

none, but that is not my point.
why would you pay for something that is so readily available for free?
