Nope. But as far as I'm concerned, 'truth' isn't irrelevent wank. Getting my head round it is quite important to me.
Anyway I don't know what you're complaining about, your 9733 posts must be at least 95% irrelevent wank but it's entertaining to an extent so I couldn't care less.

so you are interested in UFOs and aliens and such?
You can always turn tricks for a few extra bucks. If looks are an issue, there's the glory hole option, but don't expect more than ... tips.

Where's this going?
From what I can tell your interests are as follows:
- Anal sex
Just a curiousity? Or a fervent passion?

if "truth" in general is always impoetant then you must also be interested in the truth about aliens etc. Why are you avoiding the question?

Someone once said that logic is a process of reaching a conclusion based solely on what one already knows. When considering the unprecedented, logic is not very useful. It may even hold you back.

Evidence refers to anything that is used to determine or demonstrate the truth of an assertion. We're going in circles, eh?

This is why most philosophy is such bullshit (not all, but a lot of it). By cunning semantics it seeks to take things that are easy to understand and render them incomprehensible. There is no truth. There are no absolutes. Anyone who says there are absolutes of any kind is definately a lying bastard.

I was going to make a post, but Choobus said pretty much what I was going to say, so I'll just say that I agree with Choobus.
Also though, I would like to say that people often think that it is important to have a "purpose to life". As far as that goes, I like what Kai Neilson (the athiest that debated for atheism in "Does God Exist?") said: 'I can have purposes in life, without having a purpose to life.' So when I say I agree with Choobus, I agree with him that there are no absolutes. As far as the purpose to life goes, I think everyone should decide for themselves what their purpose is.
Kindof like playing Sim City. Most people make their goal to fill up the map in Sim City, but you could have other goals, such as having the happiest city, etc. In life, most people make it their goal to make alot of money and have 1-4 children, but that doesn't mean that has to be everyone's goal.
edit: I'm not sure why this topic got me thinking about "the purpose to life", but it did, so sorry if it's slightly off topic

I'm wrong? Logic came about "from a concern with correctness of argumentation", according to wikipedia. How can you correct me in regards to logic and not even make any kind of argument?
To call your post half-assed would be to double it's merits.

Congrats, Shadow. It's taken you just 3 posts to realise the pointlessness that is engaging Myst in discussion. Many of us have wasted far more time before coming to a similar conclusion,
One man's strawman is another man's asshole.

No, evidence of X is phenomena that X causes. No evidence, no X. For example, turning the Mississippi River to blood would kill a lot of fish. If you claimed to have turned the Mississippi to blood for 24 hours, I would check for evidence of dead fish. If I don't find any, I don't believe your claim. That's using evidence. gather, shadow is using the legal definition of evidence.
One of the most irrational of all the conventions of modern society is the one to the effect that religious opinions should be respected....That they should have this immunity is an outrage. There is nothing in religious ideas, as a class, to lift them above other ideas. On the contrary, they are always dubious and often quite silly.

Sorry Choobus, i will answer your question.
I will obviously be more drawn to issues of truth that I believe apply to me and that I have a desire to discover. I'm not too bothered about aliens at this point in time
