No worse than a vast majority around here-- myself included. Thanks for joining us. Thanks for all your work in bringing to the public a topic that has been taboo for far too long.

Thanks Sam! I feel like I just met the Pope...if the Pope was a rational human being I admired for doing good rather than promoting dangerous archaic nonsense and for being willing to say as loudly as you (and in this dangerous irrational world!) the things you are saying. I'll try harder to understand that people can be gotten through to via rational dialogue if you keep saying all the things I'm not sharp enough to say myself.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, so someone can move it to the relative thread if they chose.
Here is a link to Sam's article in Newsweek.

We can leave it here, Wahoo. It is relevant to the thread.

One of the most irrational of all the conventions of modern society is the one to the effect that religious opinions should be respected....That they should have this immunity is an outrage. There is nothing in religious ideas, as a class, to lift them above other ideas. On the contrary, they are always dubious and often quite silly.

With this Message, I formally close this thread for all posterity. It was a great experience.

Thanks to all....and to Mr. Harris and his team.

End.
