No Free Will?
A story in the Daily Mail showed how some neuro scientists have discovered that a large amount of what we think as concious decisions/choices, are actually pre determined orders from our subconcious. they tested people on a touch screen whislt monitoring their brain and its actions to previous information it recieved and it showed that decisions were made before the mind actually implemented them. So much for God and his free will. No wonder Theists hate scientists lol.

"Freewill" is a "god".
I am an atheist!
Healthy genes act as team-players. They are teamish!
Their winning plays are salvations of an aliveness of which they are a part.
Only a fraction of genes are selfish/parasitic (and they parasitize teams).

One can use the word "freewill" in several ways.
Another way I use it is to say "freewill" is indistinguishable from randomness.

Humans are notoriously poor at creating lists of random numbers. They avoid properly distributed duplications and trends so their randomness scores are statistically awful.
There does not seem to be a brain mechanism that can use randomness to implement a semblance of free choice, that is a choice that is not deterministically driven. But, even if there were such a randomizer in the brain the resulting behavior would merely be random and still not free choice.

That doesn't read quite right. Could you restate it a little so you express whether the atheistic view concerns a lack of conscious control or the extent of that view?

Sternwallow, I am saying that IF oneself (and the parts of oneself) are not just reacting within their environment (reaction being nonfreewill)
then the only alternative for the source of actions is randomness.
I am not saying that there is a random generator in the brain.
I am just saying that freewill would equal randomness.

well it seems that our subconcious, be it through environmental or genetic ( probably both) stimuli is already pre planning automatically a lot of choices that the concious takes for granted that it has made itself if you follow. this was what was released as the findings to the experiment in the article i read. If conclusive, what im saying stern, is that surely does away with any god concept as we would not be conciously in charge of our actions , hence whers the free will we were supposadly given?

the ethical fall out is huge to this mind you. after all killers would not be able to be senr down as if they had conciously thought to kill, as it would be a predetermined action that their concious just went along with. id still ay fry them though
