physics is just trying to work out what the fuck is going on. I ask that qustion every day at work. And on the way home.

And what do the quarks in your head tell you the answer is and have they seen Elvis lately?

I just heard astounding news from the land of physics - they flipped the ON switch on the LHC and it didn't go Tango-Uniform like it did last time! Kudos to the repair team, what, a year later?

It's actually pretty impressive what they have done in terms of the repairs. They didn't just fix all the fucked magnets but they also put in some safeguards so that it (probably) won't happen again. However, it won't really be tested until they turn it up to 11.

So this is what the inside of a black hole looks like... Canada. Hawking was right all along.

Don't you mean Hawkins? Richard Hawkins?

Edit: CRAP! You edited it already.

And now they have NASA working on the Prius.

I guess Mechanics is a part of Physics.

So, have they found what they're looking for?

Quote:
Scientists at the world's biggest particle smasher say they appear to have discovered a previously unobserved phenomenon....

The phenomenon showed up as a "ridge-like structure" on computer mapping graphs based on data from billions of proton collisions.
Is it too early to suggest that it may be time for Mr Higgs to make an appearance?

Well, how much longer will the God particle keep Himself hidden from us? If it takes too much longer, I'll just have to take His existence on faith and proceed with my quota of sinning against Him.
