Greetings
Been Atheist for too many years. Sometimes thinking to change to 2D-ism. It requires a surgery on the eyes to be able to see everything in 2D, but it may be worth the money.
Cognitive Psychologist, but retired and tries to change career to bamboo production in Mexico. Yeah. Living by the beach. Too many mosquitoes, no surfing waves, and the sun is way to strong at noon.
I'm a Jeep-freak. Loves off-roading in the most insane environments.
Trying to promote Atheism in Latin-American countries. Starting in Mexico. Slow process, but I have patience.
Have ideas that needs to be challenged, so thanks for the opportunity of this forum.

welcome to our humble forum, pethol!
seems like you have an interesting life....
One of the most irrational of all the conventions of modern society is the one to the effect that religious opinions should be respected....That they should have this immunity is an outrage. There is nothing in religious ideas, as a class, to lift them above other ideas. On the contrary, they are always dubious and often quite silly.

2D-sim. Funny. Hey, how about this, why not just wear an eye patch and save a butt-load of money on an unpleasant medical procedure? Plus it'll look cool. You can switch eyes whenever the mood strikes.
Hope you enjoy yourself here. There are a few seemingly intransigent (and certifiable) theists you can practice your shpiel on before you try it on the general population.

Kudos to you and the strength of your mind! I got burned out in the healthcare system, I have to admit. I think it was good for me and any future clients to change career at the time I did.
I turned my eyes to more simple things as farming bamboo. Ask bamboo how it is doing, and htere is absolutely no response. No news is good news. Wonderful!
But still it is hard to completely let go of psychology when you have tasted it. There is something... Cuban cigar over it... Hard to let go of something that good... If you like it, that is.

I took a hiatus from my first career choice, but that also meant no more bamboo farming. Surf's up!!

Ah! Everybody's life is interesting in some way. And if one get stuck in something, like I did; all we have to do is to take the jump. So I sold everything I had and jumped to Mexico. Maybe I should have jumped to Thailand or Vietnam; but when I selected country, I couldn't make a second choice because the bloody dart got stuck in the monitor, on which the world map was.
