We know up to a certain millisecond after the big bang. Anything before that is going to be speculation until some sort of evidence can be found to signal what could have, ( if anything did), existed pre big bang. Multi verses, cyclic big bangs etc are just theories, once evidence starts to come in, James Webb may help with this as we will see farther back than Hubble to the early universe, then we can add flesh to the bones. Note, this has nothing to do with allowing a God to reside in the gap till any evidence comes along. That would be silly.

I am shocked, SHOCKED, I tell you, that Wilbo turned out to be a theist who doesn't understand even the very basics of the Big Bang Theory, but has tried to shoehorn Jesus into the whole thing, based on his gorss misunderstanding of it.

I really miss the good old days, where the theists were at least semi-intelligent at times.
