Which "him" are you refering to.
The one that exists.
Flying Spaghetti Monster?
If that is the real God I guess so.
But
I would try for Christianity first.

Christianity works, but if you really want to know, research it.
And then pray: honestly try to talk to God and see what he does. It can’t hurt if he is not there.
I am not studied in evangelism at all so I would probably give you a really distorted answer that might lead you the wrong way. But if you try, that would prove that you really want to know.

Hi, me again with another new thread.

Bare with me atheists as I explain further...

What would your position be if suddenly there was, undebatably, a God(s). In this scenario, cat's out of the bag, God's come out of the closet, we've seen him, seen his magic tricks and so forth and are all convinced well enough that he's God.

*Yes I realize I'm asking alot from my fellow athiests to play along but please do*

How would you behave. Would you worship him/it/them, largely ignore them. What would your reaction be?

PS: "There is no God" responses are not needed for this scenario.
First, if god did appear, I'd tell him how to do his job. He's been slacking.

PS: There is no god.

For me, it would make no difference. God, as another sentient being, would be of no more or less value than myself. He would be just another person in my book and, as such, subject my judging him just as much as he might think he could judge me. I would have no choice but to extend equal rights to him, but under no circumstances would I be obliged to consider him more important then myself.

You do know that I used to be Christian and that I used to pray?

Why should I worship anything? I don't ask my rabbit to worship me because I am greater than he is.

If a supreme being showed up and exclaimed that he/she/it was in charge, he would have a lot of goddamn explaining to do.

I would love to have an omniscient being as my teacher!
You could worship me.

This isn't possible. How can you be a Christian without knowing God and having a relationship with Him. And from that point how can you deny what you once knew ?

Tell me, did you ever experience God ? If so how ?
