This puzzling thought occurred (because it's Sunday?) - with so many people waiting for a life saving transplant, and such a shortage of donors, why hasn't Christianity stepped forward with the obvious solution? The Eucharist transforms those wafers into the body of Christ, so, instead of wasting it in a cannibalistic orgy, why not use Christ's body parts for organ donation?

A worthy piece of constructive thought. I suggest the problem lies in the timing of the digestion process - by the time a suitable tissue matched potential recipient has been identified, the cracker has been turned into a liquid pulp, or indeed a piece of shit - rendering it useless for transplant. Of course, non-Catholics can just fuck off and die.
